GSBC Council News http://www.browardgirlscouts.org/
Due to the merger of councils, every troop must change their bank account to reflect the new name of Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida along with their new troop number. This change must be processed by Nov 8, 2008.
Fund Raisers: Before your troop may conduct a fund raising event, they must have a current bank account and participate in council's 2 fundraising events (nuts & cookies). The fundraiser must be approved by council. If you have any questions, please contact a service team member or Kate Dillion at council.
Leader Weekend is scheduled for Feb 13-15,2009. The committee is looking for people who have a skill to share with the volunteers of GSSEF who will be attending Leader Weekend. If you have a program idea that your girls have really enjoyed or have found a craft that is good for service projects, a try-it, badge or IPP, please email Judi Robinson at judiscout@yahoo.com The application and classes available for leader's weekend are now available on GSBC's website www.browardgirlscouts.org
New Program Training dates are available on council's website www.browardgirlscouts.org

Girl Scout Promise & Law
The Girl Scout Promise and Law are shared by every member of Girl Scouting. The Girl Scout Promise is the way Girl Scouts agree to act every day toward one another and other people, and the Law outlines a way to act towards one another and the world.
Girl Scout Promise
On my honor, I will try: To serve God* and my country, To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be
honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to
respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.
* The word "God" can be interpreted in a number of ways, depending on one's spiritual beliefs. When reciting the Girl Scout Promise, it is okay to replace the word "God" with whatever word your spiritual beliefs dictate.
